I wish I could say “I want to write fifty words every day” but I would just end up annoyed at myself. Every now and then fifty words…!
Once I remember doing something like this but with fourty four. I was good, but only because I used so many adjectives.
Browsing through old poetry can only end in misery and head shaking! I shouldn’t have done that.

I’m in the middle of completing the long and arduous task of cleaning up my tags and categories. I planned to do it all in one hit, but I am just too tired right now so I’ll do the rest tomorrow. So don’t get all distressed about the half-baked nature of my little blog right now, two people that visit this blog.
You know what? I like my privately posted poetry/prose more in most cases than the things I post publicly.
I was talking to one of my teachers about art etc. and she mentioned that a few years ago a third year did a performance piece that involved locking herself in a big cage and skinning chickens (Dead ones). “She’s from South Africa, so she had that history of conflict. People winced when they saw her, but she really got into it. Hacked them to bits, all that aggression,”
Also, Mike Parr! In what other world would you get paid for self-mutilation? With stuff like this, it starts the whole “What is art” argument, which is valid… But you never get anywhere with this argument, so I don’t why people bother. Since conceptual art came onto the scene it turned lots of things upside down and made it hard to define what art exactly is. This is always a good thing.
